Every Ride’s a Good Ride!!

Some days it is challenging to get out and ride. There are lots of reasons to NOT go, right? Kids, work, chores… and the list can go on.

When I was a full time caregiver for my mom, I started believing that every ride’s a good ride. There were many days that were challenging and getting out for a ride was hard. But some days, there was a half hour or an hour that I could go out. Was it as long a ride as I wanted? Maybe not, but it felt great.

It changed my perspective.

Because that short ride, still felt great. It was still a ride.

Putting the demand on yourself that a ride has to meet certain criteria, can be one of the mindset sabotages that happens. You tell yourself; “it’s not the ride I want, so I’m not going”.

I’m telling you, it is better to get out for a quick ride than no ride at all.

Some days, we did a quick 3 mile around the block ride and that was all we could do.

Other days, we got out for a 9-mile ride. Better.

So, step one, get your mindset out of the way.

Two — adopt the phrase: every ride’s a good ride!!

Three — get out there and ride. Celebrate the ride, no matter how long, how far! YOU rode!!

And then, do it all again.

There are days, that perfect ride will be there. On the other days, turn the ride you’ve got into your most perfect ride for the day!! And enjoy it.
